'It's as easy as... ' by Charlotte
It’s is as easy as meeting One Direction
It is as easy as growing up
And making friends at a new school
Getting good grades in high school
Getting snails to eat apples
Getting a cow to speak
Getting a horse to be your slave
Having a pet pig
Getting my brother to be nice
Getting your enemy to be your tutor
Getting ben to lay a hen
Getting a hen to lay a ben
'The boy who liked to bite' by Josef
I know a boy you likes to bite,
with his razor sharp teeth,
his mouth is like a shark is mouth
He eats mices and dices
but he is still thinner than a piece of rice,
he looks like ices with a fiery hair
He has a sister who likes to drink,
she even drank water from the toilet blow at her school
His name is Crunch Munch Small Boy the 3
'A boy called Ben' by Ben!
Once upon a time there was a boy called ben
he had a pet hen
the hens name was ren
and he has a pen
then ben got his hen and his pen and went to the shop
at the shop he meet a man called ken
after ten minutes
ben went with ren
to the swing
at the swing
there was a guy called bing
he could sing the ring of fire
then bing said bye
and ben said bye
and then ben died
'It's as easy as...' by Zac
It’s as easy as...
It’s as easy as a chicken,
making a yummy dinner.
It’s as easy as a turtle,
being a sprints winner.
It’s as easy as a goat,
driving a car.
It’s as easy as a snake,
opening a jar.
It’s as easy as a toad,
making it rain.
It’s as easy as Harrison,
not being a pain.
'Without you...' by Becca
Without you...
Without you I’m like space with no planets,
without you I’m a body with no bones,
like christmas without santa,
like computer without a keyboard.
If I don’t have you it would be the queen without a crown,
roast pork with no crackling,
don’t leave me because without you I’m just nothing!
If you're not by my side it would be like fireworks with no sparks,
if you’re not by my side it would be the sea without water,
shoes with no souls,
a class that doesn’t learn and
a car without wheels.
So please, please don’t leave me,
or I won’t be anything you see.
'It's as easy as playing cricket' by Christian
Its as easy as playing cricket
or bowling the ball on the wicket.
Its as easy as bowling a ball
or practicing batting in the hall.
Its as easy as holding a bat
or wearing your helmet as a hat.
Its as easy as holding the seam
or bowling the ball like a beam.
Its as easy as wearing a pad
or facing someone that is bowling mad!
Its as easy as playing cricket.
'My Best Friends' by Kate
My best friends
You can trust them even if you fall
you can talk to them and they won’t interrupt
these caring animals don’t care if you wear glasses or braces
They will always be there for you no matter what
they understand what your saying
you have a connection with them them like nothing else
They are my passion
they are my life
they are horses
It's as easy as by Chris
It's as easy as
telling the moon to come out at day
Or running and walking on top of a lake.
It's as easy as
Spinning around a thousand times
Or telling an orange to turn into a lime.
It's as easy as hugging a grizzly bear
Or going into a giant troll's lair
It's as easy as
Driving a car with no wheels
Or trying to run in tall high heels
It'a as easy as
Running around in the dark
I'm bored now, let's go to the park.
Love by Bernice
Love is red, white and pink
The colour of romance.
It tastes like chocolate,
dissolving in your mouth.
It smells like roses,
freshly picked for you.
It looks like hugs and kisses,
When you meet and depart.
It sounds like music,
Playing softly in the background
It feels like Valentine's day
Every day

Mt Ruapehu Trip!
Last week 26 students and four parents and two teachers went up to Mt Ruapehu for five days. They did around 45 minutes a day not everyday, the first day we arrived at school at 8:30am and left school at 10:00am then we stopped in hunterville and had lunch and a play on the famous dog statue then stopped in oakune and played with the giant carrot, then we finally got to the lodge, the lodge was cool thanks to the parents and teachers that came on the trip.
Now Josef from room 14 will write something.
I liked was the water fall and the hot pools.
Tech Challenges
Every week we do a Monday challenge. The first week we had to make the tallest tower out of marshmallows and spaghetti. The second challenge we did had to make an accessory for someone in your team to wear at the catwalk at the end. Last weeks challenge we made we made paper aeroplanes to see who's flew the furthest and who's was the prettiest. This week we had to make cubic meter frame out of newspaper.
Here are some photos to show how much fun we had!

Athletics Day 2013
On the 25th of February 2013 the whole school participated in the annual event 'Athletics Day'.
Across the school there were groups of different colours: Huia - Blue, Piwakawaka - Green, Toroa - Purple, Kakapo - Red and Poukai - Pink. It was a great day to have athletics day because the sun was out and the clouds had disappeared. We were all seperated into groups and travelled to each activity in those groups for the whole day. The activities were Long Jump, Discus, Shotput, High Jump, Sprints and Vortex, It was a good day and I'm sure everyone enjoyed it.

Poetry
This week we have been looking at poetry. We did emotional poetry like this.
Harrison the emotion
Harrison is purple.
Harrison tastes like salty sweat.
Harrison smells like Lynx.
Harrison sounds like a duck.
Harrison feels like a squishy marshmallow.
By Harrison
Anger
Anger is red like a fire, burning infinitely.
It tastes like a chilli pepper burning in your mouth.
It smells like smoke blowing in your face.
It looks like an angry bull charging at you.
It sounds like someone yelling at you.
It feels like you're being back stabbed by your friends.
By Chris
Sadness
Sadness is blue like the rain clouds.
It tastes like cold hard bread.
It smells damp and dark.
It looks like the very last Harry Potter movie.
It sounds like crying.
It feels like harsh wind trying to blow you down.
