Our reading group is looking at poetry by Michael Rosen. We read the following poem:
Down behind the dustbin
I met a dog called Ted.
"Leave me alone", he says,
"I'm just going to bed.
Down behind the dustbin
I met a dog called Roger
"Do you own this bin?" I said
"No, I'm only a lodger."
Down behind the dustbin
I met a dog called Sue,
"What are you doing here?" I said
"I've got nothing else to do"
I then wrote some extra verses for the poem myself:
"Down behind the dustbin
I met a dog called Mike
and after I met that dog
he got in to a fight.
Down behind the dustbin
I met a dog called Jakob
and after I met that dog
he ended up naked.
Down behind the dustbin
I met a dog called Flynn
and after I met that dog
he ended up in the bin.

Bone Tiki by David Hair
Bone Tiki
Bone Tiki is exiting, cool and interesting because the first chapter tells you what you need to know.
by Michael Rangiawha
The book tells you about maori myths
even though you don't get that much info.
