Here's my summary of my novel:Young Willie Beech is evacuated to the country as Britain stands on the brink of the Second World War. A sad deprived child, he slowly begins to flourish under the care of old Tom Oakley-but his new-found happiness is shattered by a summons from his mother back in London.

this bbok was really captivating. it makes you want to keep reading with twists on every chapter. it shows willie growing up oin little weirwold and getting healthier and stronger then having to go back to london and have that all pulled away from him. it seems that his life is horrible when he finally makes it back to little wierwold and more things happpen but the book ends on a good npote which is great :) maddie
