On the 6th of febuary 1840 a group of Maori and English people got together and was talking about signing the Treary of Waitangi . You could hear them from ages away because there were heaps of people. Te Rauparaha was tall I could see him from out of the tent. After that they traveled around New Zealand for other tribes to sign it. You could hear them coming so the tribe that he was heading towards hid their children and themselves. Only the tribe leader stayed out. They had a conversation, he signed the treaty. Te Rauparaha carried on traveling around New Zealnd. The next tribe he got towards he looked really scary. So the next tribe got there guns and stuff to protect themselves, but then he yelled It's alright I'm not going to hurt you guys. I'm here to talk to you about hthe treaty. That he was holding in his hands. The Treaty was long and big. He finally got home to the Bay Of Island from traveling for 3 weeks. But he carried on leading his tribe , in peace. Also the other tribes leaders tried very hard to follow the treaty that they signed.

Great effort Danielle! Your writing focused on the topic and was mostly written in the past tense. You did a good job of the 5W's and H. Good stuff!
