Our school have things called Specs and they teach you things that you might not find in a normal school. There's things like Woodwork which teaches you how to make things out of wood and use different tools properly, Foods which teaches you how to cook and use different things in the kitchen, Music which teaches you how to read and play music, and Art which teaches you how to paint and draw and other things.
ReplyDeleteHi my name is rebecca I'm a year 7 hope you enjoy our blog.In Tis there are amazing and cool teachers and they are all very nice.In Tis we also have spec classes that we go to 2 times a week we go on tuesday and friday on tuesday we go in the middle block and on friday we go at the end of the day so after lunch.We do foods, art ,woodwork and music.The year 8's started doing music and art and the year 7's did woodwork and foods we do one of the spec rotations each term we are now on our theird rotation and the year 7's are on art and music,the year 8's are on woodwork and foods.I really like spec its so fun and the teachers there are awesome and also fun to work with.

Ok back to the subject I'm here to tell you about TIS my school.
TIS recently just got a new libary and also just renevated some
of our classrooms.I have lots of fun at TIS because I have learnt
some japanese and have made lots of new friends.TIS is also a very short distance from the college.So for a couple of weeks this term we went up to the college and some college kids taught us a sport that we probably didn't know.But my favourite thing about TIS is that each term we get to do a spec.Spec is either music, woodwork ,music and foods.except we don't get to decide which order we do them in,next term i'm going to be in music.Thats what I have to say about Tawa Intermediate.
Tawa Intermediate is great school we engage, learn and inspire. With academes such Unity and Kapa Haka it's a great way to learn new things. I'm involved in 2 academes Band and Unity. In Band I play the drums (the same in Unity). In SPEC I'm in Art and we're freestyle doodling. This is Tawa Intermediate!!
ReplyDeleteHi me agian rebecca.In Huia (our syndicate) we have been doing monday challenges we do these challenges on monday after noon we do all types of fun and cool things, in a group of three one person from each class of huia.One thing we have done is making a board game with our group it was really fun and we will do another challenge this after noon as it is monday.
